YEESH

Happy New Year!

Watching a Modern Marvels about the processes involved in making lunch meat. Wow. I might never eat deli delictables like pastrami or salami ever again.

Oh come on. Who am I kidding? Still, though…http://www.history.com/shows.do?episodeId=254809&action=detail.

I should be researching for a persuasive speech I have to write for class–and “perform” on Friday. Since I don’t have a topic yet, and writing for ME is on my list of New Year’s resolutions, I thought I’d take a moment to post something here.

With school from 9-2 and then work from home 2:30-5:30, and then do homework from 5:30-8:00ish, I am having a hard time finding time to do things I want to do, or even things I need to do like, I don’t know, laundry? Putting away the damn Christmas tree? Washing the dishes? One day at a time. I have a stack of new books I got with my annual Barnes & Noble gift card (thank you Manta and Danta!) and I can’t keep my eyes open long enough to read!

Enough whining. I’m going to think of a topic for my persuasive speech so that I can get up early early and identify my sources. I can write the outline during lunch break tomorrow, and then come home, do work work, and finish the outline and the speech tomorrow night. I will give the speech on Friday, write a critique of someone else’s persuasive speech on Friday night, and turn that in on SATURDAY while I’m in class. That’s right. You read it right. I have to go to school on SATURDAY. I’m taking vacation time to go to school for Holiday Intercession, and I don’t even get Saturdays off. Wah. Poor me. It’s SUCH a great way to get three credit out of the way FAST.

Shame on me for not finishing college when I had no financial or relationship responsibilites.
