almost heaven, part one

This is, despite the bad rap it gets, a beautiful place. The green is greener here. The blue sky is bluer. The abandoned houses are prettier:


And the random silos are painted with murals.


I never get enough shots of the stuff I really want to photograph when I’m here, so I’m going to make a concentrated effort to do so this time. So consider this the first in a series of the “I love my hometown and you will too” blogs, interspersed with a great deal of raving about local produce.
